““Break-The-Chain” was a campaign we (@wearealan) created Fusing Street Art & Augmented Reality to bring about public awareness and raise support for a Members Bill that was being considered by the government to elevate Wildlife trafficking into the Organised & Serious Crimes Ordinance..
On August 18th 2021 the bill was passed! It was amazing to play a small part in this with our campaign.

穿山甲 Pangolin

這個 AR 互動壁畫旨在提高公眾對一些被嚴重非法販運的動植物（如穿山甲）的認識，並透過共同努力一齊阻止野生動植物販運者使用我們的城市。
香港是全球非法販運野生動植物的主要樞紐。在 2019 至2020年間，就有53個國家曾透過香港進行有關的非法動植物交易。在 2013 至 2019 年期間，被截獲的穿山甲鱗片和屍體數量總數多達 110,000 穿山甲，相當於每 33 分鐘就有一隻穿山甲被獵殺。
這幅壁畫由街頭藝術家 Neil Wang – 亞當與夏娃守護着世界上最先和最後的穿山甲，一起尋找安靜的樂土。
This AR activated mural aims to raise public awareness on some highly trafficked species, such as pangolins, and to work collectively to stop wildlife traffickers using our city.
Hong Kong is a global wildlife trafficking hub. 53 countries have been involved in wildlife trafficked related to Hong Kong between 2019 and 2020. Between 2013-2019, the seizure of pangolin scale and carcases in Hong Kong amounts to 110,000 pangolins, the equivalent of a pangolin being poached every 33 minutes.
This mural is created by artist Neil Wang – Creature of Legend, the last and the first pangolin on earth. Adam and Eve, the last and the first human beings. They are babysitting the baby pangolin sleep on mother’s back, taking their journey finding a place to belong.

African Grey Parrots are the most Intelligent bird species, makes people want to own one for self entertaining or impress others.
What if the position was swapped? The artwork Depicts people trapped in fancy gold cages being showcased.
